The Situation
To clarify, Our Brother served a full term in the US Army. Although he is no longer active military,
he will always be our "soldier".
Shortly after being honorably discharged from the US Army, he took a job working in the Arab Emirates as a contractor.
Then the country became unstable and all Americans were required to leave.
Jeremy then moved with his fiancee, Liwaw, to the Philippines. Originally, he told us that he was in Calpana.
He and his wife were making plans to open a salon and start a family. At some point we learned that they had moved to Mirado.
On 1/15/2007 at approx. 12am Est. a family member received an alarming phone call. The caller was Liwaw, she
was speaking fast and in broken English. She reported that Jeremy was in jail in the Philippines.
Immediately, the gravity of the situation became clear.
Our Brother needs our help.
Updates:
We got news 1/16/2008 at 10pm Cst that Jeremy has been released and false charges dropped.
1/17/2008 Jeremy re-arrested with false charges of battery, from the same person. When he was released the first
time he went and stayed at the police station. He was in proximity to several officers the entire time. The alleged victim
claims (on this 2nd charge) that once Jeremy was released from the Filipino prison, he committed battery upon them again.
This is NOT true because 3 different members of our family called and spoke to Jeremy by telephone during the time period
in question, and each will testify that he was at the local jail with an officer beside him the whole time during
phone conversations.
